The course objective is to develop an understanding of biological concepts.  The concepts will be developed through observation, inquiry, problem solving, and interpretation of data.  Areas of study include cell structure and function, cellular reproduction, biochemistry, diversity of life, genetics, general ecology, and environmental issues.  Skills in problem solving, use of the microscope, basic observation and identification along with computations, as well as some graphing will be developed.
